• Colleges and universities

  

  Komerční banka has been cooperating with many Czech universities since 2003, including, for example, the University of Economics, the Czech Technical University and Charles University in Prague, Masaryk University in Brno, and VŠB – Technical University in Ostrava.

  Co-operation is geared towards the following areas:

  • Sponsorship of technical conferences, seminars, and cultural events
  • Scholarships for selected students
  • Job offers for young graduates
  • Providing funds for financing student placements abroad.

  Many staff members of Komerční banka and its subsidiaries teach regularly at higher education institutions and provide students with information about conditions for employment.

  Last but not least, students can arrange placements within KB Group, write their diploma theses, or obtain financial contributions facilitating their professional development.

• Student organisations

  

  Komerční banka is long-standing partner of the international, student-managed organisation AIESEC, which also has a branch in the Czech Republic.

  We provide this organisation with financial support in arrangements for job fairs, which we also actively attend as the main partner of AIESEC. Proof that this cooperation is worthwhile is the 2007 Most Sought-after Employer for University Graduates prize being awarded to the bank. The bank has received this award a number of times in a row.

  Komerční banka also organises exchange visit programmes. Every year, Komerční banka accepts a certain number of students from abroad for exchange. The company's managers have a very favourable view of this programme.

  KB finds cooperation in promoting conferences and training seminars organised by AIESEC to be highly interesting and beneficial.

  David Formánek, Komerční banka's Executive Director for Human Resources, is also on the Board of Advisors of AIESEC.

• CEFRES

  

  Since 2002, Komerční banka, in co-operation with the French center CEFRES (French Institute for Research in Social Sciences), has financially supported a competition to select Czech students' best papers in the areas of economics, banking, and finance.

  One-year, CZK 75,000 scholarships are awarded at a ceremony to the best three doctoral students, who are selected by an expert jury.

  Through partnership with a number of prestigious universities, Komerční banka has a long tradition of supporting talented students and graduates in their professional development and scientific efforts. It also helps them gain practical experience.

  Komerční banka perceives creating good prerequisites for the development of education as an excellent investment in the future. Educated people, and specialists, are a guarantee of the successful development of our society as a whole.

• Alliance Française

  

  Komerční banka has already made contributions to six Alliance Française branches for their library stock.

  Thanks to these financial contributions, visitors to the Alliance Française in Brno, Ostrava, Liberec, Pardubice, České Budějovice and Plzeň can study French using new books and other modern publications.

  In the Czech Republic, Alliance Française works closely with the French embassy to Prague, which also acts as a patron to this organisation.
