Prague, 9 December 2005 - On the last days before the end of this year, all Komerční banka (KB) brancheswill be open as normal, with the exception of 30 December 2005, when the branches will close at 1 p.m. KB branches standardly open in Saturday, will be close on 31 December 2005.

Domestic payments

Where the payment is due in 2005, instructions for domestic payments within KB, delivered to a branch, will be accepted until 11 a.m. on 30 December 2005. Instructions for payments to different banks must be delivered to a KB branch not later than by 1 p.m. on 28 December 2005. When using one of the direct banking services to give payment instructions, the very last date is 30 December 2005 by 8.30 p.m. Instructions for payments to different banks must be sent before 8.30 p.m. on 28 December 2005. If the client uses a self-service box at a KB branch to give payment instructions, the last day for payments within KB is 29 December 2005 by 1 p.m., and 27 December 2005 for payments to different banks.

Instructions for direct debit within KB, when the payment is to be credited to a KB account still this year, must be, in the case of giving them to a branch or via the self-service box, delivered no later than on 27 December 2005, with the due date on 30 December 2005. For direct debit instructions when the payment is to be cleared at a different bank and credited to the beneficiary's account at KB in 2005, the last date is 22 December 2005, with the due date on 28 December 2005. Direct debit instructions given through direct banking channels and payable within KB may be sent as late as 30 December 2005 by 5 p.m.; for payments to different banks such instructions must be sent by 5 p.m. on 23 December 2005.

If payments are to be cleared at a different bank in the Czech Republic still in 2005, instructions for CZK express payments to such a bank given on the day before the due date must be given at a KB branch before 4 p.m. on 29 December 2005, with the due date on 30 December 2005. Express payment instructions given via direct banking channels may be sent by 10 a.m. on 30 December 2005.

If payments are to be cleared at a different bank in the Czech Republic still in 2005, instructions for CZK super express payments to such a bank given on the due date must be delivered to a KB branch before 9.30 a.m. on 30 December 2005, with 30 December 2005.

International payments

International payment instructions given at a branch, where the payment is to be debited to an account at KB still in 2005, will be accepted until 1 p.m. on 28 December 2005. When using a direct banking service to make such instructions, the last day for sending the payment is 29 December 2005 by 12 noon.

Instructions for express payments to be debited to an account at KB still in 2005 must be given to the branch by 11 a.m. on 29 December 2005; when giving the instructions via a direct banking channel, before 2 p.m. on that day. Instructions for express payments in JPY and AUD delivered to a branch must be sent before 1 p.m. on 28 December 2005. Express payments in JPY and AUD given through direct banking channels may be sent as late as 28 December 2005 by 2 p.m.

Instructions for urgent payments in CZK, CHF, EUR, GBP and USD must be delivered to a branch before 10 a.m. on 30 December 2005. When using a direct banking service, instructions for urgent payments to outside the Czech Republic may be sent on 30 December 2005, but the cutoff times differ by currency. For CZK and CHF the cutoff time is 10 a.m., for EUR, GBP, and USD it is 12 noon.
