Komerční banka's accounts offer 2.5% growth in value to young clients
Prague, 14 December 2009 - Students and children are receiving new benefits from Komerční banka. Currently the most attractive interest rate on the market, a rate of 2.5%, is available on G2 saving accounts and also on Dětské konto Beruška.
Students who are interested in saving can open a saving account with their G2 account. The interest rate of 2.5% applies to balances of up to CZK 50,000. It is not the only new benefit for students - in the campaign, Komerční banka also communicated one free withdrawal from an ATM abroad per month.
"Students tend to save. Research amongst older students indicates that the second and third banking product opened after a current account is a building society saving account and a savings account," says Radko Belada, Head of Marketing Retail.
In addition to students, the smallest clients have also been enjoying a "gift" from Komerční banka since November 2009: an increase in the maximum rate of interest on the Beruška [Ladybird] children's account to 2.5% for balances from CZK 5,000 to CZK 30,000.
"With this rate, Komerční banka will continue to be the bank of choice for a number of clients. More than 170,000 children's accounts opened show clients' confidence in Komerční banka," adds Radko Belada.
G2 is a bank account customised to the needs of young people and students aged 15 to 30. Its offer includes a stylish transparent payment card with travel insurance and all withdrawals from KB's ATMs free of charge, up to CZK 20,000 overdraft, and telephone, internet and mobile banking services and payments free of charge. It also provides a contribution of CZK 200 for an ISIC card, and an annual bonus of CZK 333 is ready for active users of this account.
The children's account is intended for children from the day of birth to the age of 15; account keeping and deposits and withdrawals in and from the account are free of charge. The mojebanka internet banking application is available for read-only display of the account. From the age of 8, children can receive a free payment card for withdrawals from KB's ATMs. Moreover, children receive a gift, a plush ladybird, upon account opening.
