Granted credits for municipalities: Municipal credits from the EIB / BRD sources and Global Line from EIB sources

Komerční banka prepared a municipal credit for its clients from the sources of the European Investment Bank (EIB) or the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). To participate in the program, certain conditions of acceptability of the project and applicant must be met. After fulfilling the conditions, the municipality or town has the possibility to get the grant in the form of an account transfer.

Municipal credit from the EIB sources

The parameters of the credit are the same as for a standard municipal credit in CZK or in foreign currency, the advantage is the possibility of up to 10% from the withdrawn amount of the credit in the form of a transfer to the client's account. Eligible promoters can be also private companies delivering municipal services.

Basic parameters:

• Credit in the maximum amount of 50% of the eligible costs, project limit 40 thousand EUR up to 5 mil. EUR (approx. 1 - 140 mil. CZK)
• Credit due in 4 - 12 years (exceptionally up to 20 years)
• In case of getting a grant from other EU sources, the EIB sources must not cover more than 90% of the project costs

Project limitations:

Projects can be realized solely in the following regions: Karlovarský, Ústecký, Liberecký, Královéhradecký, Pardubický, Plzeňský, Jihočeský, Vysočina and Jihomoravský.

The projects should be mainly focused in the fields of environment, transport, health and education.

Municipal credit from EBRD sources

The credit parameters are the same as in the case of a standard municipal credit in CZK or in foreign currency, the advantage is the possibility of a grant of up to 5% from the withdrawn amount in the form of a transfer to the client's account.

Basic parameters:

• Credit up to 100% of the project, amount of project costs 0.2 - 1.7 mil. EUR (approximately 6 - 48 mil. CZK)
• Credit due in 5 - 15 years

Project limitations:

Projects can be realized within the entire territory of the Czech Republic, but solely by municipalities and towns up to 100 thousand inhabitants. The municipality economy must meet other conditions.

Suitable projects are, e.g. investments in sewage systems, water and energy supplies, dumpsites (landfills), transport, healthcare, education, social dwelling or recreation.

Municipalities can also use consultancy services from EBRD consultants for free in the field of tendering, technical conditions od contracts with suppliers etc. Value of this services can be up to EUR 25 ths.

Global Line from EIB sources

Komerční banka prepared, in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the possibility to withdraw credits from EIB sources for companies.

Basic parameters:

• Credit in the maximum amount of 50% of the project, project limit 40 thousand EUR up to 25 mil. EUR (approximately 1 - 700 mil. CZK)
• Credit due in 4 - 12 years (exceptionally up to 20 years)

A suitable client is:

• Small and middle size company according to the EU definition (simply up to 250 employees and with summa active up to 1.2 billion) CZK or sales up to 1.4 billion CZK. Furthermore, relations to other companies must be evaluated)
  or
  
• Company or legal public subject with investments focused on one of the following activities: Environment, infrastructure, development of economy knowledge, rational use of energy, healthcare, education
