e-Card

A virtual card for secure on-line payments.

e-Card is intended for:

  • anyone who wishes to make secure on-line payments

Characteristics of e-Card:

  • this is a 16-digit payment card number
  • used exclusively to perform on-line transactions (e-commerce transactions)
  • no PIN (Personal Identification Number)
  • not intended for:
    • performing transactions at points of sale, including reserving flight tickets, hotels and cars etc.
    • making cash withdrawals and performing transactions that require presentation of a standard plastic card
    • all transactions where PIN is required
  • card validity of 3 years

e-Card security:

There are various levels of security for e-Card use based on the client’s wishes and requirements

  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
    • automatic setting of the level of security for transactions using the SSL protocol
    • in practice, transactions take place in the following manner:
      • the customer selects payment by card
      • the customer fills in the requisite information about the card and the goods
      • the “padlock” icon is displayed
      • data transfer to the trader will be encrypted
      • the trader receives the request from the card holder, on the basis of which he fills in the receipt
  • internet access without restrictions
    • a level of security allowing the card holder to perform transactions in the unprotected environment of the internet
  • special parameterisation of the virtual card
    • is a special parameter restrictive usage of the virtual card on the internet
    • serves to block your payment card if you  will not use your virtual card for long time

Advantages of an e-Card:

  • serves only to perform on-line transactions (e-commerce transactions)
  • it cannot be used to withdraw cash from cash machines or payments for goods and services in conventional shops
  • is not exposed to fraudulent usage or theft like a classic payment
