Property of cities and municipalities is insured for the event of damage or destruction by fire, explosion, lightening strike and collision or aircraft crash. This basic insurance for natural disasters can be extended to include damage caused by:
- flooding, flash flooding, storms, hale, landslide, falling rocks or earth, avalanches, trees, posts or other items falling, earthquakes, weight of snow and frost, water leaking from water supply equipment
- theft and robbery or intentional damage
Insurance of movables (items) especially relates to machinery, equipment, fixtures and fittings, valuables, money in all convertible currencies, third party items legitimately used, third party items assumed, costs for repair to damaged or destroyed construction components, transported money and valuables.
Insurance of real estate (buildings) especially relates to buildings and other constructions, shop windows and doors, marquees, neon tubes, illuminated advertisements and works of art.

This insurance is especially intended for electronic equipment for data processing, electronic equipment and communications technology, radio and television technology, measuring, regulation and checking technology etc. (e.g. insurance of a municipal PA system, Internet distribution mains, antenna systems and camera systems etc.)
The scope of insurance cover for this insurance is the widest, it includes both insurance against natural risks and also insurance for internal faults caused for example by a construction defect, material defect, production defect, excess voltage, short-circuit, but also damage caused by unprofessional handling, incorrect operation or intentional damage etc.
Insurance of machinery
It is possible to insure practically any machine and machine equipment and this relates to their damage or destruction by fire, explosion, lightening, storm, avalanche, falling rocks or earth, hale, flooding, flash flooding, impact, falling or intentional damage. It also covers damage caused by:
- a construction defect, material defect or production defect
- excess pressure of steam, gas or liquid or low pressure
- falling or penetration by a foreign object
- short-circuit or other effects of electrical current
- failure of measuring, regulation or security or safety equipment

- insurance of municipal PA systems, Internet distribution mains, direction signs, equipment for pedestrian zones and other special requirements
- insurance for collision of a means of transport
- insurance against vandalism for an ascertained or unascertained culprit

Liability insurance
Liability of regions, cities or municipalities for damage results from Act no.128/2000 Coll., on Municipalities (municipal establishments), and Act no. 129/2000 Coll., on Regions (regional establishments). Cities and municipalities are also liable for the health and property of third parties, caused by operation of commercial activities. The scope of liability insurance thus above all offers:
- liability insurance for damage to health and property of third parties
- liability insurance for the municipality as the establishing authority of the municipal police
- liability insurance for the municipality for damage caused by parties performing publically beneficial work or service, also damage which is caused to parties performing publically beneficial work or a public service
- liability insurance for the municipality as an employer, for damage to employee's belongings
- liability insurance for damage caused while performing public authority by a decision or incorrect procedure in terms of Act no. 82/1998 Coll.
- exclusion of the possibility of transfer of rights to a mayor (lord mayors, regional presidents) or member of the authority's representation
- liability of the municipality as an owner or administrator of roads and real estate (including liability for pavements being negotiable)
- liability of the municipality as a provider of social care
- possibility of insuring other entities in the municipality's insurance contract (e.g. business premises, schools etc.), insurance of cross liability
Liability insurance for damage can also be extended to include insurance for financial damages, recourse of health insurance companies in the event of an occupational accident, recourse of sickness benefits paid out and insurance for damage to items assumed and used.
Agricultural insurance
