Komerční banka and Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna have jointly succeeded in the bidding competition for the process of the distribution of subsidies under the Green for Savings scheme, which has been organised by Státní fond životního prostředí [State Environmental Protection Fund]. Once the scheme is fully launched for the authorised banks the two institutions will distribute the key information to applicants for subsidies, collect their applications, and process and disburse the subsidies.
"The Government's support is a very important factor for projects in the area of savings and use of renewable energy sources to be carried out," says Radko Belada, head of Retail Banking Marketing at KB. Subsidies will only be paid after the completion of the project and do not cover the full amount of the investment under any of the programmes. Applicants will therefore have to contribute their own funds to cover a part of the investment. "This is why we offer the participants in the Green for Savings scheme an option of investment co-financing in the form of bargain EKO loans. An equally interesting option is a considerable acceleration of projects with the help of EKO loans, thus receiving the subsidy much earlier," adds Radko Belada.
Komerční banka offers the following special types of single-purpose loans to applicants for subsidies:
- EKO Osobní úvěr [EKO Personal Loan] payable in up to six years
- EKO Úvěr na nemovitost [EKO Property Loan] payable in up to ten years
- EKO Hypoteční úvěr [EKO Mortgage Loan] payable in up to thirty years
Komerční banka provides all EKO loans at a more advantageous interest rate and charging no fees for loan processing.
Naturally, EKO loans offer all the other advantages that are normally available from Komerční banka:
- Free payment protection insurance, provided for the whole period of loan repayment, for EKO Personal Loans and EKO Property Loans
- Loans can be repaid early at any time without any penalties or charges, for EKO Personal Loans and EKO Property Loans
- Option to flexibly adjust instalments, for EKO Mortgage Loans if the applicant uses this option when taking out the loan
Once the scheme is fully launched for the authorised banks, applicants for subsidies heading for Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna will also experience the same level of comfort, i.e., filing the application and obtaining a loan at the same place. "A total of 166 Modrá pyramida offices will join the Green for Savings scheme. We believe that our flexible loan advisers, of who we have approximately 1,200, will be an excellent complement to Komerční banka's branch network," says Miroslav Hiršl, member of the Modrá pyramida Board of Directors.
