A week of good deeds - the Citizen Commitment Week held throughout the Société Générale Group's network - has brought favourable news. Employees of Komerční banka and other KB and SG companies operating in the Czech Republic take a very positive approach to opportunities for supporting charitable events. Their collection, organised throughout KB's distribution network, has contributed 3,667 kilograms of non-perishable foodstuffs.
"Support for charitable projects is one of our activities in the area of the Komerční banka financial group's corporate social responsibility. I am therefore very glad that our employees have joined the collection and demonstrated their strong commitment to the community," says Laurent Goutard, Komerční banka CEO.
Moreover, Komerční banka has supported ČSFB through Nadace Jistota foundation by a donation of CZK 205,000 for the purchase of logistics facilities, thereby following up on its help to ČSFB in 2006 when the bank contributed CZK 400,000 for a delivery van.
"We greatly appreciate Komerční banka for its idea to organise a collection of foodstuffs for the benefit of the needy in these difficult times. Thanks to the bank's employees, we have received an unexpectedly large volume of foodstuffs. In the holiday season, they will mainly help children from socially disadvantaged families, who are preparing for summer camps organised by various non-profit organisations," says Fabrice Martin-Plichta, ČFPB Director.
