Important dates for domestic payments
Komerční banka will accept domestic payment orders at counters (orders payable on that day) as usual until 11 a.m. on 31 December 2009 and via the self-service [drop-off] box (orders payable in 2010) throughout the opening hours of the respective branch.
In domestic payments, orders for CZK direct debit, which are to be cleared at a third-party bank in 2009 and credited to an account kept at KB also in 2009, can be delivered by clients via a counter or the self-service box no later than on Wednesday 23 December 2009, with the due date no later than on 29 December 2009.
Payment orders in CZK that are to be cleared at a third-party bank in 2009 must be delivered by clients for clearing as follows:
- at a counter: no later than by 1 p.m. on Wednesday 30 December 2009, with the due date no later than on 30 December 2009;
- via the self-service box: no later than on Tuesday 29 December 2009, with the due date no later than on 30 December 2009.
Orders for express CZK payments to third-party banks in the Czech Republic delivered one day before the due date, which the third-party bank is to clear in 2009, must be delivered at the counter by 4 p.m. on Wednesday 30 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009.
Orders for super express CZK payments to third-party banks in the Czech Republic delivered on the due date, which the third-party bank is to clear in 2009, must be delivered at the counter by 10.30 a.m. on Thursday 31 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009.
Payment orders in CZK or a foreign currency intended for Komerční banka's clients, which are to be cleared in 2009, must be delivered by clients to KB as follows:
- at a counter: no later than by 11 a.m. on Thursday 31 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009;
- via the self-service box: no later than on Wednesday 30 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009.
Orders for CZK direct debit to client accounts maintained at Komerční banka, which are to be cleared in 2009, must be delivered by clients to KB as follows:
- at a counter: no later than on Monday 28 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009;
- via the self-service box: no later than on Wednesday 23 December 2009, with the due date on 31 December 2009.
International payments
Payment orders for standard payments to foreign countries must be delivered by 1 p.m. on Tuesday 29 December 2009. Payment orders for express payments to foreign countries must be delivered by 12 p.m. [noon] on Wednesday 30 December 2009 (with the exception of JPY and AUD - for these currencies the latest date is Tuesday 29 December 2009 by 1 p.m.). Payment orders for urgent payments in CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, CHF, NOK, SEK and USD to foreign countries must be delivered by 11 a.m. on Thursday 31 December 2009.
If the payee is a client of Komerční banka Bratislava, a.s. (KBB) payment orders for urgent payments in all usable currencies can be delivered by 1 p.m. on Thursday 31 December 2009.
KB will process payment orders delivered later, but will send the payment to the respective foreign country with a value date in 2010.
Payments via direct banking channels
All of the above dates apply to the delivery of payment orders via a direct banking system operated by Komerční banka (i.e., EDI KB, MultiCash KB, Expresní linka KB, Mobilní banka KB, MojeBanka, profibanka, and Přímý kanál), with the exception of the hour, which is specified in the terms and conditions agreed for the delivery of payment orders via the respective system, and with the exception of orders for CZK direct debit in terms of KB. Orders for direct debit from accounts at Komerční banka can be delivered via the direct banking systems as late as 31 December 2009, with the due date no later than on 31 December 2009.
For the MojeBanka, profibanka and Přímý kanál applications, the days and hours are specified in the bulletin board of these applications. For domestic payments to be made via Expresní linka KB and Mobilní banka KB, the hour is always by 8.30 p.m. of the above specific day.
