Petr Kohout, Chief Financial and Operations Officer at ESSOX, is leaving to head the Vietnamese company SG Viet Finance as its CEO within the Société Générale Group. The Vietnamese company's business is similar to that of ESSOX in the Czech Republic, i.e., provision for consumer finance for retail customers.

Petr Kohout (37) is another of Komerční banka Group's senior managers who are leaving to gain experience in the Société Générale Group's foreign companies under the mobility scheme. The offer to manage SG Viet Finance in Vietnam is one of the most important challenges faced by KB Group managers.

SG Viet Finance was established in 2007 and its core business is to provide consumer loans. Almost 80% of loans are provided for the financing of motorcycles, and a smaller percentage for purchases of consumer electronics. The company also provides any-purpose cash loans. In 2010, SG Viet Finance plans a strong business expansion on this market, which offers an exceptional growth potential thanks to its population of 85 million.

Petr Kohout joined ESSOX management in 2005 from his position of Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers ČR. As a member of the transaction advice, tax and accounting team, he was responsible for services provided to major international financial institutions. In 2000 and 2001 Petr Kohout was part of a team that successfully carried out one of the most extensive industrial restructurings in Central Europe in ŠKODA HOLDING. Between 1996 and 2000, Petr Kohout acquired his initial practical experience at the Prague branch of Société Générale.

Petr Kohout is a graduate from the Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics in Prague. In 1994 and 1995 he took a two-semester course at Colorado State University in the US.

In his time of leisure, Petr Kohout likes to travel, engage in sports, and listen to modern music. He speaks fluent English and French and can also communicate in Russian.
