Komerční banka and CzechTrade, the national export promotion agency, signed an agreement on co-operation for 2011 on the occasion of the Brno International Engineering Fair. Henri Bonnet, Komerční banka Chairman and CEO, Jan Juchelka, member of the Board of Directors at KB, and Ivan Jukl, CzechTrade CEO, signed the agreement.

“The co-operation between Komerční banka and CzechTrade has been successfully going on for the eighth year now. We mainly focus on organising a number of educational events, publishing technical articles, and joint support for our clients in respect of missions and trade fairs outside the Czech Republic. Our joint conferences on export topics are popular amongst exporters. Over the time of our co-operation, we have organised 19 such conferences, and some 2,500 company representatives attended them,” said Jaromír Chabr, Head of Trade and Export Finance at KB. The nearest conference will take place in Brno on 20 October, and will be dedicated to trading with Russia and Kazakhstan.

“Next year, Czech exporters can look forward to two major national conferences on exports. One of them will focus on very attractive geographies, India and China. The topic of the other conference will be European countries, Germany and France, because the interest in these countries was enormous this year.  We are also planning three regional seminars focused on some other markets that are attractive for Czech exporters, specifically Bulgaria and Rumania, Austria and Poland, and, last but not least, on North Africa and Turkey,” noted Ivan Jukl, CzechTrade CEO.

Evidence of the fact that these events are useful is exporters’ interest and active participation in these meetings.
