In co-operation with Komerční pojišťovna, Komerční banka has been offering opportunities to invest in Zajištěný fond Forte 4 [the Forte 4 Guaranteed Fund] as part of the Vital Invest product since 11 October 2010. This fund guarantees clients that 100% of their investment will be returned to them at the fund's maturity and offers a yield of up to 10 % per annum.

The Forte 4 Guaranteed Fund follows up on the successful series of Forte Guaranteed Funds, which was launched by Komerční banka together with Komerční pojišťovna at the end of 2009. Clients' great demand for these funds gradually resulted in the offering of the Forte 2 and Forte 3 tranches, and more than 2 billion crowns have been subscribed overall.

“Through the Forte 4 Guaranteed Fund, we have decided to offer clients an opportunity to share in the growth on equity and commodity markets while limiting the loss in the case of their downturn. The fund's performance is also tied to the appreciation of the Czech currency to the euro and the euro to the US dollar. We believe that the fund's attraction will again appeal to a broad range of  those interested in investing,” said Radko Belada, Head of Retail Marketing at Komerční banka.

The Forte 4 Guaranteed Fund offers an investment strategy suitable for new and current clients who prefer a medium-term to long-term investment horizon and realise the potential for growth in equity and commodity prices on financial markets and at the same time are reluctant to accept a risk in growing the value of their money. Another advantage is also the opportunity for an early redemption, for example in as short a time as three years, with an attractive yield up to 30 %.  The subscription period is from 11 October 2010 to 28 January 2011 (or until the tranche is sold).

Vital Invest is a combination of investment and a life policy. Clients themselves decide whether  their contract will be more of insurance or more of investment  for them. Vital Invest has four different options for the scope of the cover in the event of death of the life assured, offering the client options to provide for himself and his family to varying degrees.
