As part of the VITAL Invest product, since 18 January 2010 Komerční banka has been offering, in co-operation with Komerční pojišťovna, an opportunity to invest in Zajištěný fond Forte 2 [the Forte 2 Guaranteed Fund], whereby clients can receive a long-term return of up to 52%. In view of the clients' great demand, the fund's subscription value has been increased to CZK 1.2 billion.

The strategy based on Zajištěný fond Forte 2 is suitable for all clients who want to tap into the potential of the yields offered by equity markets, but at the same time want to have the certainty of a guaranteed growth in the value of their investment on the day of the fund's maturity. There is no question that the yield potential, up to 52% in 8 years (with a guaranteed return of 6.5% p.a. for the first two years) is attractive. The increase in the fund's subscription value does not cause any change in its subscription period and the sale will last until 30 April 2010 (or until the tranche is sold completely).

"We are very pleased by clients' demand for investment in Zajištěný fond Forte 2. The fund's attraction does not consist only in the guaranteed return but also in an opportunity to take part in the performance of a basket of the world's equities. At the same time a great advantage is the option of an early repayment of the fund with an annual return of up to 6.5% p.a. already in three years subject to the prescribed conditions. Protection against the currency risk is also a matter of course, because the negative impacts of the Czech crown's strengthening are hedged and will not influence the yield of the portfolio," says Radko Belada, Head of Retail Marketing at Komerční banka.

Vital Invest combines investment with life assurance. Clients themselves decide on whether their Vital Invest policy will be more of an insurance product or more of an investment. In respect of the insurance component, Vital Invest offers four different options for the scope of the cover in the event of death of the life assured, depending on the extent to which the client wants to provide for himself and his family.
