It took less than a month to sell Zajištěný fond Forte 3 (the Forte 3 Guaranteed Fund), which with a volume of CZK 250 million was offered by Komerční banka in co-operation with Komerční pojišťovna as part of the Vital Invest product in early May 2010. The clients' interest was generated by the opportunity to receive a long-term return of up to 52%.

Working with Komerční pojišťovna, Komerční banka started to offer the Forte Guaranteed Fund to new and current clients of the Vital Invest unit-linked life policies in late 2009. Because of the continuously great demand, Forte 2 and Forte 3 Guaranteed Funds have therefore become the logical successors. More than CZK 2 billion has been subscribed to these funds overall to date.

"In the light of previous experience, we did expect clients' interest in investing in the Forte 3 Guaranteed Fund, but the speed of the sale of the value to be subscribed surprised us very pleasantly. This confirms that the attraction of the fund, which consists in both the guaranteed return and the opportunity to share in the performance of a basket of global equities, is more than interesting for clients," said Radko Belada, Head of Retail Marketing at Komerční banka.

The strategy based on Zajištěný fond Forte 3 is suitable for all clients who want to tap into the potential of the yields offered by equity markets, but at the same time want to have the certainty of a guaranteed growth in the value of their investment on the day of the fund's maturity. There is no question that the yield potential, up to 52% in 8 years (with a guaranteed return of 6.5% p.a. for the first two years) is attractive.

Vital Invest is a combination of investment and a life policy. Clients themselves decide whether their contract will be more of insurance or more of investment for them. In respect of the insurance component, Vital Invest offers four different options for the scope of the cover in the event of death of the life assured, depending on the extent to which the client wants to provide for himself and his family.
