Komerční banka has introduced a new credit card for women, called Lady Card. The new credit card is both stylish and smart: in addition to attractive discounts at many retailers throughout the Czech Republic, it will save money for its holder in her pension account at Penzijní fond Komerční banky.

Lady Card brings really smart and stylish benefits to Komerční banka’s women clients: stylish discounts when shopping in a broad network of partner shops, smart savings for retirement at Penzijní fond Komerční banky, and a unique suite of supplementary insurance policies that are designed exactly for the needs of KB’s women clients.

The new Lady Card contains the Lady discount concept, thanks to which the clients can shop with discounts of 20 and more percent at dozens of retailers throughout the Czech Republic.

“The unique suite of supplementary insurance policies, which Lady Card contains free of charge, makes the card the only thing that clients need to carry in their handbag,” said Monika Truchliková, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing and Business Development at Komerční banka.

The range of the free extra insurance policies carried on Lady Cards is broad indeed. In addition to a policy covering purchases and an extension of the warranty period, a policy covering the delivery of the goods bought online, a policy covering cancellation of admission tickets, and a policy covering the handbag, clients will also obtain useful assistance services, the Lifestyle service and the Home Assistance service, with their Lady Card.

Lady Cards offer clients an individual credit facility. Thanks to the grace period, clients can use money free of charge for a certain period of time. KB’s clients can obtain lower credit limits without having to furnish any confirmation of income. The issue of the card is not conditional on keeping a current account.

“A new feature in respect of KB’s credit cards is the opportunity to agree on an automatic 100% repayment prior to the end of the grace period. When clients do not use this opportunity, the minimum monthly instalment to repay the borrowed amount is 5% plus interest,” added Monika Truchliková. The optional payment protection insurance is subject to a charge of 0.49% of the drawn amount per month; if the client does not use credit, she will not pay any fee for the payment protection insurance.

Lady Card is the next stage in the development of the Moje odměny [My Rewards] scheme, under which Komerční banka rewards clients for their clever behaviour. Card holders will obtain a contribution to their pension fund scheme, amounting to 1% of the volume of non-cash card transactions, regardless of whether they draw on credit or repay all of their card spending during the grace period. If the value of non-cash transactions made using the card exceeds CZK 3,000 per month, they do not even pay any fees for card maintenance.

Lady Cards are issued on the MasterCard World platform, which provides for a broad acceptance network throughout the world. The cards are issued with a validity of three years and as every KB card, they contain the latest generation chips that support the highest standards of security.

Lady Card holders can see the most current list of all discounts and attractive offers on a dedicated website at www.ladykarta.cz, where clients can also apply for a Lady Card beginning today. Lady Cards will be issued from 1 April 2011.
