The prestigious magazine World Finance has published the results of the traditional rating of the best pension funds in more than 30 countries of the world. In the Czech Republic, Penzijní fond Komerční banky was voted the winner.

The international expert jury mainly appreciated the stability of the fund, and its conservative investment strategy, financial strength and excellent results for 2010. The fund’s consistent focus on enhancing customer satisfaction also played an important role. Thanks to this conservative strategy and stable income, predominantly from government bonds, the fund can also ensure an attractive performance of its client’s contributions in the coming years.

“Penzijní fond Komerční banky provided its clients, even in the difficult period, with stability of their savings for retirement and was able to adjust its investment portfolio to the new situation on the market in order to achieve an attractive growth in value also at the time of unstable capital markets,” said Pavel Jirák, Penzijní fond Komerční banky Chairman and Executive Director, when accepting the award.

The prestigious World Finance award is also a strong signal for Penzijní fond KB’s scheme members. It confirms the fund’s credibility and professionalism and it also is, naturally, an independent vindication of the selected investment strategy, which is primarily oriented towards security of the funds deposited by scheme members with PFKB.

World Finance is one of the best-read and respected economic magazines in the world. Every two months it reports on capital markets, risk management, trading and technology in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Penzijní fond KB continues to be the only pension fund in the Czech Republic to hold a Moody’s international rating. Its Aa1.cz rating is the best that a pension fund in the Czech Republic can achieve.
