The EGM also adopted certain amendments to the Bank's Articles of Association. The number of Supervisory Board members has been decreased from 12 to 9. Three members will represent the Bank's employees and will continue to be elected by the employees. The Supervisory Board will meet once in three months rather than once a month as required in the old Articles. The number of Board of Directors members has been decreased from 7 to 5.
The shareholders have also resolved to set up a new executive body of the Bank, an Executive Committee, which may have up to 15 members and will report directly to the Bank's Board of Directors.

Didier Alix
Mr Alix was born in 1946, and read economics at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris. He joined Socété Générale in 1971 and spent 1972 to 1979 in the Bank's general inspection. In 1980 he relocated to the Bank's headquarters and took responsibility for risk management. In 1984 appointed director of the Levallois Perres group, in 1987 director of the Paris Opera group. He became CEO of Franfinance in 1991. Between 1993 and 1998 he was in charge of the branch network in France, and in January 1998 was appointed acting CEO of the division serving companies and individuals.
Séverin Cabannes
Mr Cabannes was born in 1958. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris. Between 1968 and 1997 he worked for Elf Atochem, among others in its Strategy Division. In 1997 he joined the La Poste Group as the head of its Strategy Department. He has been with Socété Générale since 2001 in the position of Chief Financial Director.
Jan Juchelka
Mr Juchelka was born in 1971, and graduated from the Trade and Business Faculty of the Silesian University in Karviná. In 1993 to 1995 he worked as assistant to Korona, a.s. CEO. Since 1995, he has been employee of the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic, first in the securities department, which he later headed. Since the spring of 2000 he has been serving as the Second Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic.
Petr Laube
Mr Laube was born in Prague in 1949. Having graduated from the Prague School of Economics, majoring in foreign trade, he joined the Polytechna foreign trade organisation in 1974 and worked there until 1991. Since 1992, he has been with the Lafarge Group, since 1993 in the position of Lafarge Cement, a.s. Pragua CEO.
Jean-Louis Mattei
Mr Mattei was born in 1947. Having acquired his Master's degree in private law, he went on to study political sciences and banking. He joined Socété Générale in 1973 and moved through many positions, for example in internal audit, human resources, and organisation. He was appointed CEO of Socété Générale's subsidiary in the Ivory Coast in 1988. Between 1992 and 1998 he worked as manager responsible for Africa and overseas territories. In 1998 appointed director of retail banking for non-francophone areas.
Christian Poirier
Mr Poirier was born in 1948, and is a graduate from Ecole Nationale d'Administration. Having spent 1980 to 1987 in public services, he joined Socété Générale and moved through several positions in it, among others as director of Socété Générale's subsidiaries specialised in consumer loans, leasing, and factoring (1995 to 1997). Since 1997 he has been on the management of the Marketing and Strategy Division.

Pavel Krejčí
Mr Krejčí was born in 1963. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Brno Polytechnics, and acquired a Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc. He joined the State Bank of Czechoslovakia in 1987 as an engineer in its computer centre, and in 1990 moved to Komerční banka as an area IT engineer. In 1992, Mr Krejčí was elected Chairman of the works committee of the Komerční banka trade union organisation. He has been active in the Executive Committee of the UNI-Europe trade union syndicate since 2000, representing organisations in central and south-east European countries there. In Komerční banka he represents the Bank's employees in the position of Chairman of the Komerční banka trade union' works committee.
Jan Kučera
Mr Kučera was born in 1951, and graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He has been with Komerční banka since 1991, first in its Náchod branch as head of settlement, later as head of customer service department. He has been the Náchod branch's senior economist since 1998.
Miroslava Šmídová
Mrs Šmídová was born in 1965. Having graduated from the Prague School of Economics, she joined the Plzeň branch of the State Bank of Czechoslovakia in 1987, first in the credit department then (already in Komerční banka), from 1991, as analyst in the branch's aggregate department. Between 1992 and 1999 she headed the Plzeň Klatovská 11 outlet. Since 1999, she has been assistant to the manager of the area branch, or the Plzeň Division.
