Komerční banka has paid its municipal clients additional subsidies, this time CZK 3 million, from the funds of the European Investment Bank (EIB). Thus, Komerční banka has paid out a total of CZK 33 million in subsidies, including the other municipal credit lines, to date.

The subsidies are tied to the funds of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). An advantage of these programmes is the fact that Komerční banka arranges for the entire agenda related to project approval and administration and the disbursement of the subsidy.

Since the start of disbursements in 2008, the volume of subsidies provided to KB’s municipal clients under subsidy programmes has totalled CZK 33 million.

“Komerční banka continuously seeks additional options of support for municipal projects. We therefore make an effort to help our clients as much as possible and also obtain less usual forms of subsidies for them,” says Pavol Maličkay, head of Specialised Financing in Komerční banka.

To finance their projects, municipalities can therefore obtain broad-ranging support at Komerční banka:

  • Individual advisory services and support provided by Specialised Financing
Municipalities of all sizes are provided with individualised approach at Komerční banka. Relationship managers find support in public sector financing specialists. Thus, even the smallest municipality in the Czech Republic can use this expert approach.
  • Comprehensive services for clients applying for subsidies from EU funds
KB EU Point’s regional specialists advise applicants in respect of their search for a suitable subsidy programme and on the optimum design of the financing of their subsidies project. KB EU Point’s services are provided to clients free of charge.
