Komerční banka and Potravinářská komora ČR [Federation of the Food and Drink Industries of the Czech Republic, FFDI] have signed a co-operation agreement. The new agreement formally seals the long-standing good relationships between Komerční banka and FFDI, which brings together a number of KB’s clients.

Komerční banka has long been one of the major banking partners for the country’s food producers and farmers. By financing the companies in these segments and fostering long-term relationships with them, the bank contributes to the sector’s long-term development in the Czech Republic.

At Komerční banka, we really have something to offer to food and farming companies. High-quality services in the area of payments and financing, co-operation in obtaining subsidies provided by the Czech Republic and the EU, and also exclusive programmes prepared in co-operation with the European Investment Bank – all these are evidence of these clients’ great importance for Komerční banka,” said Radek Basár, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing, Communication and Business Development.

The two partners expect a further intensification of their co-operation from the new agreement. Among other things, Komerční banka and FFDI will cooperate in the organisation of a series of regional technical workshops called Investment and Development Plans of Food Companies – Options of Financing and National Sources and Komerční banka will participate in a special survey aimed at mapping the banking needs of the companies in the sector.

We are delighted to launch co-operation with a prominent entity such as Komerční banka is. This bank has been supporting food and farming projects for a long time and our co-operation can further intensify this support, and also indentify new ways for the development of the food industry,” said Miroslav Toman, FFDI President.
