Effective as of 1 August 2012, Komerční banka broadens the competences of its ombudsman, who addresses contentious issues between certain companies in the KB Group and their clients. Clients of Factoring KB a SG Equipment Finance Czech Republic will now also be able to seek help from the ombudsman.

In addition to Komerční banka’s clients, those of another six companies in the KB Group can seek help from the ombudsman: Komerční pojišťovna, Modrá pyramida stavební spořitelna, Penzijní fond Komerční banky, ESSOX and, from now on, Factoring KB and SG Equipment Finance Czech Republic.

Komerční banka introduced the institute of ombudsman in 2004 and with his help addresses various contentious issues in a conciliatory way. I am therefore pleased to see that the ombudsman’s competences have been extended to include additional companies in the KB Group,” said Darina Sontag, Quality and Innovation Manager.

Komerční banka’s ombudsman, Dr Joseph Franciscus Vedlich, LLM, has been in the position of KB’s ombudsman since December 2009. He has resolved tens of cases over the time of his operation. The ombudsman’ mission is to address disputes with clients in a conciliatory way so that the resulting solutions are as responsive as possible and meet the clients’ expectations.

The position of ombudsman is part of the group of Société Générale’s ombudsmen headed by Mrs Christiane Scrivener, with whom the Czech  ombudsman closely cooperates.
