Komerční banka has won a valuable victory in the prestigious annual rating of banks organised by Hospodářské noviny, an economic daily newspaper. KB has won in the Best Bank 2012 category, placing second in the Banking Innovator 2012 category and third in the Friendliest Bank 2012 category.

Winning in the main category of the awards, The Best Bank 2012 award, follows KB’s overall victory in the tenth annual edition of rival awards, Fincentrum Bank of the Year 2011. Over the last 12 months Komerční banka has therefore won in two important contests that assess the quality of banks and banking services in the Czech market.

Komerční banka has long been a reliable partner for its clients and the reference bank in a number of customer segments. We are the leader in the quality of advice and services, and we are also very successful in payment technology innovations and the ability to adjust products and services to our clients’ changing needs,” Henri Bonnet, Komerční banka’s Chairman and CEO, commented on the awards.

Among other things, Komerční banka is the first bank on the Czech market to make available the contactless payment technology to users of mobile handsets with Apple’s iOS operating system and with the Android operating system also for clients who want to make contactless payments with their conventional credit card.

Komerční banka has placed second in the Banking Innovator 2012 category for contactless payment innovations.
