In cooperation with the European Investment Fund, Komerční banka is the first bank in the Czech market to offer start ups financing for their projects. The Profi úvěr Start product is intended for sole proprietorships and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The exceptional nature of the product consists mainly in the fact that clients do not have to document any business history and a good business plan is enough for obtaining credit. Up to now, start ups have only been able to obtain funds amounting to several tens of thousands of Czech crowns on the Czech banking market.
The interest rate for Profi úvěr Start is 9.9% at most, and clients can borrow up to one million Czech crowns repayable in five years. The loans are secured by the European Investment Fund up to 80%.
“Last year, the Czech Republic saw the largest increase in the number of new firms for the past seven years. In their beginnings, most of them therefore seek financing options. I am therefore delighted that with EIF’s support, we are now offering those who are on the starting line in their business a product thanks to which they will be able to carry out their ideas more easily,” said Albert LeDirac’h, Komerční banka Chairman and CEO.
These more advantageous loans can be used for financing current assets and operating and investment requirements. Arrangements for the guarantee are easy and completely free of charge.
From Komerční banka’s offering, start ups can also use some other special products such as current accounts free of charge and start-up credit limits for credit cards and authorised overdraft.
