Prague, 6 June 2013 – Komerční banka has prepared a special offer for individuals, municipalities and businesses damaged by the latest floods. Those of Komerční banka’s clients who have been hit by the floods can terminate term deposits and saving accounts before maturity without any penalties, or ask for individual payment schedules for loans on which they are currently drawing. All those who have suffered damage can also apply for loans provided under more advantageous terms.

“Komerční banka offered similar relief to damaged clients in the wake of the 2009 and 2010 floods. We believe that immediate access to long-term savings, adjustments to payment schedules, and opportunities to obtain readily available funds will be helpful for individuals and businesses to whom the floods have caused damage,” said Radek Basár, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing, Communication and Business Development.

Komerční banka’s current clients who have term deposits at Komerční banka can withdraw their savings before maturity without any penalties or charges. Clients who are repaying loans to Komerční banka can apply for adjustments to their payment schedules. Again, Komerční banka will allow them to reduce instalments or suspend payments without any penalties and charges.

“Komerční banka is a long-term financial partner for a number of the afflicted municipalities. As in the past, we will now discuss the best way of helping with our municipal partners, with a view to the quickest possible repair of flood damage,” adds Martin Ehrenberger, Manager of Segment Management – Corporates.

For all individuals hit by the floods, Komerční banka has prepared a Personal Loan under more advantageous conditions. The loan is completely free of all charges and provided at a rate two percentage points lower than the standard offering. Similarly, loans for municipalities and businesses are free of all charges and their terms and conditions will be agreed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the particular parameters of the loan.

This emergency offer is intended for individuals, municipalities and businesses hit by the latest floods, and is open from 6 June 2013 to 30 September 2013. Clients can obtain more information at any KB branch and at KB’s free information line at 800 521 521.
