WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN USING YOUR CARD ABROAD

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS

In case of payment at merchant’s (both shops and e-shops) KB does not charge any fee. Some merchants can charge a fee, in this case you must be aware of the fee before the payment. Rules for contactless payment are the same abroad. PIN code is mandatory for payments exceeding CZK 500 (equivalent of EUR 20 / USD 25).

ATM WITHDRAWALS

For debit card withdrawal choose account type “Checking / Current” at the ATM, in case of credit card choose “Credit” account type.

For withdrawals from ATMs you may pay a fee in excess of the KB fee. The fee is charged by the ATM operator not by KB.

LOSS, UNAUTHORISED USE

Call immediately non-stop helpline at +420 955 512 230. The card will be cancelled We can also arrange issuing of replacement  card, emergency cash advance or issuing of temporary card.

For CZK accounts payments / withdrawals abroad are converted to EUR by card associations Visa or Mastercard with their rates. KB converts EUR amount to CZK with foreign exchange – sell valid on the day of the transaction entry.

DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) - Some traders and ATMs can convert your amount into the currency of your account that is unchanged.

This amount is not advantageous for you, but is final and will be charged from your account.By entering PIN or signature you agree with this amount.

You can refuse proposed amount and let KB convert the amount to CZK.

Refunds

What is it? Refunds for various goods to your account (e.g. due to claims or discounts.). In case such refunds come from abroad, the converted amounts may vary due to time lag.
