Upgrading the Service

Upgrading from 1.22 version to new version 1.23

Preparation for upgrade is possible to ensure by:

  • Downloading of whole upgrade file at once. The file will be available on this website from 7th March, 2016.
  • Sequence downloading of partial upgrade files. These files will be automatically downloaded to your PC every time you will log in to the bank between 9th March, 2016 and 16th March, 2016.
Method 1: Single download of complete upgrade file (recommended method)
  1. Download this entire upgrade file pcb_1_23.exe to any folder of your PC. This file is about 1,9 MB large.
  2. After you finish the download, run the file and follow steps which appear.
  3. Your application is prepared for upgrade to the new version after you get a message about successful finishing of the process.

This way of preparation has following advantages:

  • You will not need to download any other additional files after login.
  • If you have the application installed on more than one PC, it is possible to copy this file to each of them without need of downloading of the complete file on each PC.

You can download and run this file at any time, but it is recommended to do so before 9th March, 2016, when distribution of partial files starts.

Method 2: Distribution of partial upgrade files

The complete upgrade file is divided to 6 partial files. These files will be automatically released to your PC every day when you login to the bank between 9th March, 2016 and 16th March, 2016 in following terms:

If you download and run the complete upgrade file between 9th March – 16th March, 2016 no partial files will be then downloaded to your PC and you will be prepared for upgrade to the new version.

If you will not login to the bank in terms of downloading of partial files (and you will not apply complete upgrade file), next time you will login to the bank, all previous partial files will be downloaded to your PC.

Upgrade process

The upgrade process will be launched on 19th March, 2016 centrally from the bank. When you login to the bank after this term, upgrade of application will start automatically. You only need to confirm message about upgrading the application and then will start upgrade process which will last a few minutes.

A user with administrator's access to the specific station must run the procedure on stations using MS Windows XP, MS Windows Vista, MS Windows 7, MS Windows 8, MS Windows 8.1 or MS Windows 10 operating systems (ideally, the network administrator).

Direct debits will be smarter

In this new version, we will offer you a new type of notification of the detailed reason for the non-execution of a direct debit, by e-mail, SMS, or the so-called push notification in Mobilní banka. We will also introduce the option of the online setting up of a direct debit permission by 8.30 pm on the business day.

We want direct debits in KB to be smarter, which is why, during this year, we will offer you new options in direct debit processing, which will ensure that the direct debits on your account are executed efficiently, while simultaneously protecting you against possible delays in their payment.

We are preparing a revolutionary new option in direct debit processing for you, which will be available in the autumn. Among others, it will simplify your communication with mobile operators, energy suppliers and other direct debit recipients, as well as setting a new level of security in direct debit execution. You have a lot to look forward to.

Improved payment notifications

On payment orders, we have improved the payment notification functionality for you; it will simplify the sending of notifications considerably. We have already filled in your e-mail address and telephone number as initial values - all you have to do is choose where you want to send the notification.

Amendment of the requirement to validate the foreign payment bank in Profibanka

Do you regularly send SEPA or foreign payments for which you are sure of the entered information? Now you are no longer obliged to manually validate the recipient’s bank.

In the Administration / Local Settings / System Settings menu, there will now be a new option for enabling/disabling the manual bank validation requirement (Foreign Payment Bank Validation) before sending a SEPA payment, foreign payment or foreign order levy. In the default settings, this validation requirement will now be disabled for SEPA payments and SEPA direct debits, while it will be enabled for foreign payments. You can make changes at your own discretion.

If you leave the bank validation requirement disabled, it will not be required of you before sending a payment or a levy, but you can still use this “Foreign Payment Bank Validation” function by right-clicking with the mouse, without the need to change these settings.
