KB’s client base expandS by two percent in the individuals segment

Prague, 12 May 2015 – As at the end of March 2015 Komerční banka registered a year-on-year growth of 1.8% in the total number of its clients, to 1,630,000.

  • The total number of Komerční banka’s clients rose by 1.8% year-on-year to 1,630,000 (as at 31 March 2015)
  • In the same period, the number of its clients in the Individuals segment rose by more than two percent to 1,374,000
  • Komerční banka has 30,000 more clients than a year ago

 

As at the end of March 2015 Komerční banka registered a year-on-year growth of 1.8% in the total number of its clients, to 1,630,000. The number of its clients in the Individuals segment rose at an even faster rate, by more than two percent year-on-year. At the end of March, KB served as many as 1,374,000 of these clients. Another 256,000 customers were businesses, firms and corporations (including municipalities and associations).

Komerční banka’s clients appreciate, among other things, our extensive branch network with cash desk services. It is therefore easy for them to withdraw and deposit larger amounts in cash, unlike some small banks that do not offer this standard banking service at all. Komerční banka is also mindful of its clients’ security; it is the only bank on the market to offer free security software intended for the protection of their PCs against phishing and malware,” said Kateřina Šušáková, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing and Communication at Komerční banka.

Komerční banka’s clients can use 399 bank branches (including the corporate client division in Slovakia), 759 ATMs and fully-fledged direct banking supported by two call centres. At the end of March 2015, 1,289,000 clients, i.e. 79.1% of the total number of its clients, used at least one direct banking channel such as online or phone banking. Customers used 1,585,000 active payment cards, 200,000 of which were credit cards.
