SGEF reduces its carbon footprint by 49% in three years
This significant decrease has been driven primarily by the gradual electrification of the company’s vehicle fleet. Electric vehicles now account for nearly half of all vehicles used by the company. Additional positive impacts come from purchasing electricity generated from renewable sources and promoting more sustainable travel options for both business trips and employees’ daily commuting.
The long-term downward trend confirms that the measures implemented to reduce emissions are delivering measurable results and contributing to a more responsible and sustainable way of doing business.
Verified by an independent auditor
SGEF’s carbon footprint is independently verified by Preferred by Nature, an international non-profit organisation operating in more than 100 countries worldwide. As part of its Carbon Footprint Management (CFM) programme, the organisation reviews the calculation methodology, the quality of input data, and compliance with the certification scheme requirements. Following a successful audit, it issues a certificate confirming the accuracy and reliability of the reported emissions data.
