About our partner

PKF – Prague Philharmonia is a Czech chamber orchestra mostly comprising young musical school graduates. It was founded in 1994 upon the initiative of conductor Maestro Jiří Bělohlávek. Today, it is one of the most acclaimed orchestras in the Czech Republic and globally.

Our cooperation

The superior and professional standard of this musical ensemble represents the values that we regard as our own. Consequently, we have become PKF’s General Partner starting from the 2018/2019 season.

Maurice Ravel’s, Claude Debussy’s, and Erwin Schulhoff’s music echoing through the bank’s building

The premises of Komerční banka’s Wenceslas Square branch became an unconventional concert hall combined with a recording studio in late 2020. The situation then did not allow visitors to musical events and we therefore decided, together with our partner PKF – Prague Philharmonia, to facilitate an unusual experience for classical music lovers in the form of an online chamber concert from the historical building of KB’s head office.

From the Future World

In 2019, we helped to give birth to a unique musical work: an unfinished Dvořák piece was completed by artificial intelligence, and then produced by PKF – Prague Philharmonia. The composition, entitled AIVA/Antonín Dvořák: From the Future World op. 71, was first performed at a joint concert of PKF – Prague Philharmonia and Vypsaná fiXa at the Rock for People music festival on 4 July 2019.
