10. 5. 2024 - The issuance of qualified certificates on qualified electronic signature creation devices (QSCD)
"Komerční banka, a.s. has initiated the issuance of qualified certificates for qualified electronic signature creation devices (QSCD). This new initiative expands the possibilities of using smartcards for electronic signatures with the effects of a handwritten signature. To obtain a qualified certificate in the QSCD mode, it is necessary to have a new QSCD ready smartcard marked with a lock symbol.

16. 4. 2024 - Distribution of QSCD ready smartcards
Komerční banka, a.s. is proud to announce the launch of our latest innovation: smartcards featuring the capabilities of qualified electronic signature creation devices (QSCD ready). With this advancement, we're empowering our customers with enhanced security and convenience for their digital transactions.

Our new QSCD ready smartcards maintain the familiar functionalities for authentication in and providing advanced signatures, all backed by qualified certificates. Additionally, in the near future, we will offer the capability for qualified signatures based on qualified certificates, further bolstering the trust and reliability of electronic transactions.

Recognizing these new cards is easy; both the envelope and the card itself have the lock symbol, lock symbol indicating compliance with EU regulations for qualified electronic signature creation devices. Furthermore, our solution, "Carte IAS Classic en version 4.4.2 avec serveur MOC 1.1 sur plateforme Multiapp v4.1," is certified and listed in the EU registry of qualified electronic signature creation devices and qualified electronic seal creation devices here https://eidas.ec.europa.eu/efda/browse/notification/qscd-sscd

27. 7. 2023 – Issuing qualified time stamps for clients of Komerční banka, a.s.
Komerční banka, a.s. has received permission from the Digital Information Agency to use TSA server certificates for the purpose of issuing qualified electronic timestamps. KB uses the timestamps for its own systems to timestamp data and documents in connection with client and internal processes. This way Komerční banka a.s.  aims to improve the customer experience with electronically signed documents signed both towards third parties and to KB.

18. 7. 2023 – Issuing qualified certificates for clients of Komerční banka, a.s.
We are pleased to announce that as of 18 July 2023, the Terms and Conditions for Electronic Signature and Bank Identity (https://www.kb.cz/cs/nase-aplikace/ke-stazeni) become applicable and allow clients to request and use a qualified certificate on a smart card for the use of KB financial products. Existing clients who already have the Certificate on Chip Card login and signature method and meet the conditions for its issuance can apply directly online in the MůjProfil. New clients can also apply for a certificate personally at any branch of Komerční banka. You can find the branch list  here: https://www.kb.cz/cs/pobocky-a-bankomaty. The certificate can be used in all KB channels, and we are preparing its implementation in the new internet and mobile banking (KB+) and will announce it in due course.

22. 6. 2023 – Komerční banka, a.s., received qualified status for trusted services of issuing qualified certificates and is listed in the European list of Trust service providers. At the same time KB is listed in the List of qualified trust service providers and qualified trust services providers at the Czech Digital Information Agency (DIA). We further expand Komerční banka's portfolio of quality identification services by the ability to create a advanced electronic signature based on a qualified certificate in order to clients make relations to third parties and public services and state administration.
