ADVICE ON GRANTS AND SUBSIDIES
Komerční banka’s KB EU Point team provides full advisory services that include comprehensive advice on grants and subsidies (preparation of grant applications; administration; and sustainability), including the options of grant pre-financing and project co-financing using schemes offering more advantageous conditions. We have been developing our services since 2003 when KB was the first bank in the market to launch a special loan for subsidised project financing.
ENERGY ADVICE
Energy advice is a crucial tool for improving the energy efficiency of projects in the Czech Republic. In this respect, we offer sophisticated advice resulting in the following range of the deliverables that are an important source of support for designing energy saving projects and of opportunities for reducing energy demand in your company.
Technical and economic feasibility studies
The starting point is determining the energy balance of the energy system in question, using the actually available data on energy consumption (loads). This balance is then converted into the baseline for calculations: standardised climate data, indoor temperature, operating times, etc. As part of the studies we also draw up a general technical description of the proposed solution, calculate indicative capital expenditure, and model the benefits for reducing energy demand, resulting from the starting-point energy balance.
We calculate each of the measures (plans) separately and then compile the various options for the implementation of your project using the results of the evaluation.
We draw up a point score potential that generally includes the following:
- The compliance of your project with the activities supported under the relevant scheme
- The compliance of your project with the specific conditions of the technical criteria of the Energy Savings scheme
- An overview of the evaluation criteria of the subsidy scheme
- Preliminary calculation of the point score in the category in question
- Proposals for optimising the point score, helping to increase the point score
Energy Assessment
Energy Assessment is a mandatory and basic document attached to the grant/subsidy application. The method for its preparation is laid down in Section 9a (1) (e) of Act No 406/2000 on Energy Management, as amended. Energy Assessment must also comply with Czech Regulation 480/2012 on Energy Audit and Assessment and the requirements of the then current Call for Proposals under the relevant support scheme.
The purpose and content of Energy Assessment is a comprehensive assessment of the feasibility of your project from the perspective of the criteria set out in the support scheme. Energy Assessment assesses and calculates the project in detail against energy, environmental, and economic criteria and also those specific for the scheme and the CfP.
An energy specialist (a person authorised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade under Section 10 of the above law) draws up and authorises the Energy Assessment document.
The entire Energy Audit
An analysis of the enterprise setting out the obligatory particulars and extent of the Energy Audit in the light of the applicable legislation and the client’s plans and requirements (development of production, required repairs and investments, etc.).
Energy Performance of Buildings Certificate
The Energy Performance of Buildings Certificate (the Czech abbreviation is ‘PENB’) helps to prove the meeting of some of the obligations under Act No 406/2000 on Energy Management.
