KB Klíč

• KB Klíč is part of the KB+ app – sign up for KB+ and have KB Klíč and banking in one app.
• If you use MojeBanka internet banking, you need to download the separate KB Klíč app – sign up for KB Klíč at any of our branches.

KB Klíč is active in the KB+ app from the moment you first log in. No further activation is required. 

• You will find the KB+ activation guide directly in the app immediately after downloading it.

The separate KB Klíč app requires activation, provided that you already have a contract for the KB Klíč app: 

Activating the KB Klíč app on your mobile phone 

1. Download KB Klíč from Google Play or the App Store to your phone, launch the app, and click on Activate app.
2. Enter the identification number from the Agreement and the One-time Password, or scan the QR code you received at the branch.
3. Click Continue and enter the One-time Password sent in the SMS.
4. Set your username.
5. Choose a PIN code. The PIN code must have at least 6 digits. Click Continue.
6. You can set up fingerprint/face scan if your phone supports it.
7. You're done!

Activating KB Klíč at a Komerční banka ATM

1. Insert your payment card into the ATM and enter your PIN. When activating KB Klíč, you must actually insert the card into the ATM; simply scanning it is not enough.
2. Select KB Klíč/Password Reset on the screen.
3. In the KB Klíč app on your phone, select Scan QR Code or enter the activation details manually.
4. Click Continue and enter the one-time password sent in the SMS.
5. Then follow the instructions on your phone.

Activate KB Klíč at any Komerční banka branch

1. Install the KB Key from Google Play or App Store on your phone, launch the application and click ACTIVATE APPLICATION

2. Enter the identification number from the Agreement and the activation code or scan the QR code you received at the branch.

3. Click CONTINUE and enter the Verification Code sent via SMS

4. Set a username of your choice

5. Choose your PIN code. The PIN code must have at least 6 digits. Click CONTINUE

6. You can set your fingerprint/face scan if your phone supports it

7. DONE!

A) You have the KB klíč app in another mobile phone

1. On the old phone, in the KB Klíč application in the upper right corner, click Settings
2. Select Replace device (A QR code with activation data will be displayed)
3. On the new phone, in the KB Klíč application, choose Scan QR code or enter the activation data manually
4. Click CONTINUE and enter the Verification Code sent via SMS
5. Then continue according to the instructions on the phone

B) You do not have access to your KB klíč app / your KB klíč app is no longer active

There are several options available:

a) Look for the Komerční banka ATM. To activate the KB Key, proceed as follows

1. Insert the card into the ATM and enter the PIN.

2. On the screen, select Additional services and then KB Key / Password Recovery (A QR code with activation data will be displayed).

3. In the KB Klíč application on the phone, select Scan QR code or enter the activation data manually.

4. Click CONTINUE and enter the Verification Code sent via SMS.

5. Then continue according to the instructions on the phone.

b) Visit any Komerční banka branch – a relationship manager will help you get a new activation code

For example, when you get a new phone

You have the KB Klíč app on another phone

1. On your old phone, click Settings in the upper right corner of the KB Klíč app.
2. Select Replace device (a QR code with activation details will be displayed).
3. On your new phone, select Scan QR code in the KB Klíč app or enter the activation details manually.
4. Click Continue and enter the one-time password sent in the SMS.
5. Then follow the instructions on your phone.

You have the KB+ app

1. On your old phone, click Settings in the upper right corner of KB+.
2. Select Add device (a QR code with activation details will be displayed).
3. On your new phone, select I am a client and Activation via QR code in the KB+ app.
4. Click Continue and enter the one-time password sent to you via SMS.
5. Then follow the instructions on your phone.
6. Don't forget to delete the KB+ app from your old phone. Then, in Device Management on your new phone, remove the KB+ activation from your old phone.

You do not have access to the KB Klíč app / you no longer have the KB Klíč app active

You have several options:

a) Find a Komerční banka ATM. To activate KB Klíč, proceed as follows:

1. Insert your payment card into the ATM and enter your PIN. When activating KB Klíč, you must actually insert the card into the ATM; it is not enough to just scan it.
2. Select KB Klíč / Password Reset on the screen.
3. In the KB Klíč app on your phone, select Scan QR Code or enter the activation details manually.
4. Click Continue and enter the one-time password sent in the SMS.
5. Then follow the instructions on your phone.

b) We will be happy to help you activate KB Klíč at any KB branch.

You do not have access to the KB+ app

• First, you need to activate the KB+ app. A handy guide will help you with this, which will launch as soon as you open the app. You will need to scan your ID (ID card) and upload a video selfie. Once the KB+ app is activated, KB Klíč will be part of it.

On the login page, enter the username you set when activating KB Klíč.

First login (you are logging in for the first time or from a new device that we do not yet know):
When logging into internet banking, a QR code will appear on the screen, which you can scan using the KB Klíč app or KB+ on your mobile phone. Then simply confirm with your PIN or fingerprint/face scan.

Regular login
A notification will appear on your smartphone. Simply click on it and confirm with your PIN or fingerprint/face scan.

• When confirming payments in the KB Klíč or KB+ app on your mobile phone, a notification will appear (if you have this setting enabled), followed by a screen confirming the payment. 
• Check the payment carefully. If you entered it yourself and know what it is for, confirm it as usual.
• If you do not know anything about the payment, do not confirm it.

• If you have the KB Klíč app, simply reopen it.
• If you only have the KB+ app, click on the key icon in the upper right corner of the screen after logging in.

You can obtain a one-time password for setting a new PIN at a KB ATM or KB branch.

IMPORTANT! To obtain a one-time password from an ATM, you will need your own physical payment card.

You will be prompted to scan the QR code when logging into KB+ or MojeBanka internet banking for the first time, or when logging in from a new or unknown device. In some cases, you will be prompted to scan the QR code even if you are logging in from a device you have used before (e.g. due to cookies being deleted).

Reinstall the KB Klíč app and undergo the activation process. You can get a new activation code not only at a branch, but also at any KB ATM!

IMPORTANT: You will need your own physical payment card to undergo the activation process at an ATM.

The easiest way is to obtain a one-time password via SMS to unblock KB Klíč. You can obtain it at a KB ATM or at a KB branch. Alternatively, you can unblock KB Klíč online directly in the app by uploading your identity documents and a video or using Bank iD. Instructions can be found in the Downloads section.

If you are abroad, please contact your bank advisor.

IMPORTANT:  To receive an SMS from an ATM, you will need your own physical payment card.

Immediately contact us via the internet banking customer service at +420 955 551 552 so that we can block the given authentication method.

If you call the KB Contact Center, the telephone banker may ask you to verify your identity using KB Klíč. When communicating with the Contact Center, it is better to be connected to Wi-Fi, as your mobile operator may not allow data transfers during calls, or you may not have this feature enabled on your smartphone – ask your operator.

If, for any reason, our telephone banker calls you, you can ask them to verify that they are a genuine KB banker.
