How can I change my payment card parameters?

In order to manage your card, you can use Mobilní banka or MojeBanka Internet banking, as this is the simplest and quickest way. Naturally, you can also modify your card parameters at KB branches, via Expresní linka or by contacting the KB Card Customer Service. For cards issued to your account, you can modify the following (among others): a limit for card payments at merchants, for cash withdrawals, and for internet payments.

If you are a cardholder, but not an owner of the account to which a card is issued, you will not be able to change some parameters. For example, modification of card limits can be done only by account owner in his /her internet banking MojeBanka or in application Mobilní banka.

Businesses, in particular, can make use of the card administrator functionality

Cardholders can change their card PIN  at any KB ATM.


  • You can modify your card limits at any time. Changes will be effective in a matter of seconds.
  • Possibility to define limits separately for cash withdrawals, for card payments at merchants and for internet payments.
  • Individual limits may be modified from minimum 100 CZK, further to the nearest 100 CZK up to the maximum card limit.
  • Cash Back and CashAdvance transactions affect the use of the card payment limit.
  • ATM cash deposits do not affect the used card limit in any way.

Note: In exceptional situations, we are authorised to change the limits at any time; we shall always notify you of any such change(s).

Cardholders may view their card PIN at any time in their Mobilní banka or MojeBanka Internet banking (go to Cards → Card summary → Card details → View PIN).

A card PIN may only be displayed by its cardholder. An account holder, if different from the cardholder, does not have this right.

You can unlock your card at any time if you need to make a payment and lock it again if it is not used. It only takes a second and you can do it online using your Mobilní banka or MojeBanka Internet banking.

You can set up an amount of the Internet payments limit. If you choose zero, you will not be able to pay with your card on the internet.

You can change the Internet payments limit (and also limit for cash withdrawals and for card payments at merchants) at any time and with immediate effect using your MojeBanka Internet banking or Mobilní banka (go to Cards → Card summary → Card details → Modify limits).

You can digitise your payment cards in Mobilní banka – read instructions for individual services (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Garmin Pay, and Fitbit Pay) or watch this video tutorial for Google Pay.

This can be easily modified in your Internet banking (go to Cards – Card summary – Card details – Modify card settings – Enable account balance inquiries at ATMs – YES/NO). Similarly, you can easily prevent other cardholders (e.g. your employees) associated with your account from displaying your account balance.

For better real time control, you can use the “Payment notifications” service that can be simply activated in your MojeBanka Internet banking (go to Settings – Payment notifications – Card usage). What do payment notifications mean? Once a card payment exceeds your defined limit, we will notify you via a text message (SMS) or email of your choice. If you need to add another recipient for notifications, follow these instructions.

For instant information about card payments, you can also use Push notifications. They can be easily enabled in Mobilní banka: go to “Settings – Notifications – Card payments”.

Account holders have the right to apply for payment card administration privileges for another person. This person – i.e. the so-called “payment card administrator” – can subsequently modify various parameters relating to cards issued to the relevant account(s) – to the same extent as account holders (e.g. card payment limits). Account holders may authorise such third person at a branch of Komerční banka (preferred in a situation, when it is necessary to verify such person’s identity) or using the MojeBanka or MojeBanka Business Internet banking.
